Mariam High School is one of the Uganda Muslim Education Association (UMEA) founded schools established in 1992 as a Muslim Girls’ School, following a generous donation of five (5) acres of land by the late Sheikh Rajab Lubega. With mobilization from the Muslim community and Munadhamat Dawa Al Islamiya, the first classroom block and a Mosque were built. At the request of the donor, the school was named Mariam High School in memory of his late mother, Mariam
